Perhaps you haven't heard much about Westlake. We have been quietly and effectively becoming one of the premier privately owned manufacturers and marketers of petrochemicals and plastics in North America. From our Headquarters in Houston, Texas, our Chairman & Founder, Mr. T. T. Chao, has led Westlake's development from the acquisition of a single low density polyethylene plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1986 to a company with 16 operating facilities in North America with over 1,900 dedicated and skilled employees. This remarkable growth has been achieved through a combined strategy of building new plants, expanding existing facilities and acquiring assets.

The Westlake Group is a leading producer of commodity petrochemicals and polymers, annually producing the world's most recognized basic chemicals and polymers. Employing a business philosophy of synergy through vertical integration, strategic acquisition and carefully planned construction of new plants, which utilize the newest technologies, Westlake's production costs are among the lowest in the industry.

Westlake produces a diverse product line of LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE resins to meet the demanding requirements of our customer's film packaging, bag, sheet and injection molding applications. Well known for consistency and quality, our resins are FDA and ISO 9002 approved.
